CHICK LIT

These books are typically funny and have a lot of heart. Check out some great selections we think are can be a perfect way to liven up your day!

Karma Girl by Jennifer Estep

The first book in a three-book series is rather our favorite of the trio. It a grown up comic book-type read that's a tractor beam for gals who loved Wonder Woman and Batman and all the other superhero magic on Saturday mornings.

Carmen Cole reveals the identities of superheroes she feels are lying to everyone in the city of Bigtime. Striker is the city's sexiest crime fighter around. Trouble is, he might have a crush on the gal trying to expose his biggest secret -- his identity.

Love, Rosie by Ceclia Ahern

Alex and Rose are friends in childhood who have chemistry as teenagers and adults. What they don't have? Good timing! This story, told in letters each character writes to the other, is a great choice for a book club as it encourages discussion on how the right or wrong move at a pivotal time can make all the difference.

The Chocolate Run by Dorothy Koomson

One of our favorite books of all time. When a player makes a play for you, what do you do? The heroine doesn't know what to make of it when her hottie male friend busts a move and promises to give up all his other ladies if he can just have one real shot at making it worth with her. Friendship and secrets complicate the mix...but there are those who can sniff and eat chocolate to get over the rough spots.
