The
Ginger-Box is a cardboard box that you can use for many craft
projects.
As
a stay-at-home mom, my desperate attempts to make a decent gingerbread
house with my young children resulted in "scary" results.
Plus, my youngsters grew impatient waiting as the base box was
painstakingly constructed...sneaking lots of frosting in the
meantime.
Did
I mention there was more than one "cave-in" incident
involved. Arrrrrggggghhhhh!
Picture
the result: bored children on a sugar high frustrated with mommy's
deformed gingerbread house. This is not how I want my holidays
to start off.
After
hearing more times than I could count about how my labor of
love didn't look like the picture on the box or being asked
"Is it supposed to look like that?", I decided there
had to be a better way.
The
answer is this easy to "pop-up" box that allows families
to begin decorating their Ginger-Box mere minutes after starting.
Using
standard frosting, candy and other leftover cereal, create a
gingerbread house to display on a kitchen perch.
Have
lots of kids coming over for a holiday meal? Channel their after-dinner
energy in a decorating contest.
Of
course, decorating elements could also incorporate foam cutouts,
colored paper pieces or many other treasures you can find in
your local craft store...or your cupboards. Your creations are
limited only by your imagination!
Whether
you are creating Valentine's Day boxes, birdhouses, or maybe
a puppet show stage scene, this is a great activity families
can enjoy together throughout all the seasons.
