Halloween Party
Fall
Halloween Parties are a great way to enjoy getting together with a few grown-up friends...or entire families! It's also a great way to help children get some wear time out of their carefull-chosen costumes...when they can be indoors and not out in the cold air trick-or-treating. Check out these party ideas and create some "spooktacular" party concepts that can make you feel like a "creepy ghoul" (or "creepy cool") host or hostess. Themed food is great for getting everyone in the Halloween spirit.

Idea 1: Spider Dip
This chip dip is delicious...and the black olive spider imprint on top of the cheese send a yummy message to those comtemplating a bite! Be warned. Party guests offered the arachnid treat had a hard time dipping into the art form, though. Nobody, after all, really wants to upset spiders. |

Idea 2: Graveyard Dip
Broccoli, celery and some spooky crackers can make this a topic of conversation i fyou don't choke on a pretzel! Check out a recipe or two of this classic...and then personalize your presentaion. |

Idea 3: Lizard Hearts
Confession time. We have no idea what a real lizard heart looks like.
But if you want to sneak something a little bit healthy onto your child's dinner plate at a Halloween event, try putting some organic dried peas in a glass dish with a sign reading "dried lizard hearts" right beside the offering. If it tastes gross...well, all the more convincing!

Idea 3: Boo Brownies
Take your best brownie recipe...bake and cut into little bites. Next frosting-affix cake decorations of skeletons or pumpkins of scary messages to cookies like Oreos or other oval-shapes dessert treats. Plant the "headstones" in the brownies...and let your chocolate do the talking!
